Heavy Equipment Radiator Function

Heavy equipment such as excavators and bulldozers occur in a combustion process that produces heat. The hot temperature generated from the combustion process will continue to arise in heavy equipment engines. So that the longer the machine operates, the higher the heat temperature caused by the combustion process. Therefore, heavy equipment requires a maximum cooling system. The function of heavy equipment radiators is to transfer heat from the engine to the air. The Heavy Equipment Radiator will flow the radiator water to the slauran in the machine cooling system.

How Heavy Equipment Radiators Work

The function of the machine radiator as engine coolant starts from circulating low temperature radiator water to the ducts that surround the engine to absorb heat. During the circulation, the radiator water will absorb and carry heat from the engine to be brought back to the radiator. After arriving at the radiator, the hot temperature carrying radiator water enters the upper tank radiator. Here, the cooling process of the radiator water will occur. The radiator water is then forwarded into the core radiator which functions to dissipate the heat into the air. To speed up the heat dissipation process, the radiator core is assisted by a fan to suck air so that there is a flow between the air fins on the radiator core. When the hot temperature has been completely transferred to the air and the radiator water cools back down, the radiator water will be recirculated around the engine to absorb heat.
